I would think that a switch away from Mac by one open source zealot and one insignificant author of really bad science fiction novels would only improve Apple's reputation amongst those of us who choose our computer platforms for rational reasons.

"rui does the hard work" doesn't link to anything Rui's written, and the quote isn't his.

Mark Pilgrim and Cory Doctorow did actually say something themselves about their moving away from Apple fan-boyism, and he didn't mention no such hear-sayings as you're trying to suggest.
